Appearance on BBC Radio 4’s ‘Start The Week’ alongside the composer John Adams, composer and broadcaster, Howard Goodall and the writer, director Stephen Poliakoff.
Lúnasa‘s US Tour is announced – a 21 date run commencing Feb 22nd, including shows in East Coast centres from New York to Florida as well as Wyoming, Montana and Ohio. Lúnasa new album ‘Lúnasa with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra‘ has its North American release on Lúnasa Records St Patrick’s Day (Mar 17th) digitally with physical release scheduled for April 16th. The CD includes footage of the band’s sell-out concert with the RTÉ CO at Dublin’s National Concert Hall, June 19th 2012.
Sean Taylor pays his first visit to the land Down Under with a March Tour promoted by Gaynor Crawford Presents. Dates include Port Fairy and Blue Mountains Folk Festivals. Sean has recorded his new album with producer Mark Hallman (Hot Club Of Cowtown, Carole King, Eliza Gilkyson) at Mark’s Austin, TX studios. Stand-up Bass maestro Danny Thompson (John Martyn, Tim Buckley, Richard Thompson) guests.
Roxanne de Bastion‘s German tour is announced – 8 shows kicking off Feb 5th in Hamburg, including a stop-off in her home-town at Berlin’s cool Junction Bar Feb 11th. First single “Red & White Blood Cells” from Roxanne’s new album, ‘The Real Thing’ produced by Gordon Raphael (The Strokes, Regina Spektor) will be released Feb 8th.
