Taísa - “... musical and visual collision of Monroe, Bassey and Winehouse."

For 18 year old Midlands singer, songwriter and actress, Taísa, the time has come. 2009 has kicked off with Taísa all over Irish television as the co-writer and singer of the Daily Mail TV year-long advertising campaign. She has also been chosen to play the lead in the independent film ‘Musik’. In February Taísa recorded her debut album, produced by the legendary British producer Nick Patrick (Gipsy Kings, Katherine Jenkins, Russell Watson) with Brit Award winning engineer Pete Schwier at Peter Gabriel’s Real World studios. Her studio band was an international crème de la crème of players - Robbie McIntosh - guitars (Pretenders, Bee Gees, John Mayer), Steve Pearce - bass (Stevie Wonder, Madonna, Leona Lewis, Diana Krall), Ian Thomas - drums (Seal, Sting, Eric Clapton) and Mike Moran - keyboards (Queen, Ozzy Osbourne, David Bowie).
